About Us
It all started in 2016 while visiting Chilean Patagonia Lake Panguipulli when we noticed a large log sunken in the cold lake. As passionate divers and with the help of a few friends, we decided to bring it to surface and transport it to the mountains where it was slabbed and dried for a few months. We were very encouraged by the quality and density of the hardwood and inspired by the exquisite colors revealed which motivated us to go back and bring a few more of those sunken logs to surface, this time to make a few pieces of furniture for ourselves. It became clear that there was an opportunity to combine our passion for diving and nature into a project and transform those hundreds of years old logs into beautiful custom-made furniture and Bosque Hundido (Sunken Forest) was born.
